Requirements for induction:
Individuals can be considered in either of 2 categories:

Induction as a Player/Athlete

Must be 40 years of age to be eligible for nomination

Nominees must be a native of Cherokee County or attended a secondary (high school) or post-secondary (college/university) school in Cherokee County for a minimum of two (2) years

Detailed information about the nominees County, Region/Area, State and National level accomplishments are important to complete the nomination form

Nomination applications are initially evaluated using a rubric that considers outstanding accomplishments at the county level, Region/Area level, State level and National level

Induction as a Coach or Contributor

Must be 50 Years of age to be eligible for nomination

Must have coached at a Cherokee County secondary/post-secondary school for a minimum of 5 years (or)

Must have been a contributor for a minimum of five (5) years in Cherokee County

Any sitting member of the Board of Directors of the Cherokee County Sports Hall of Fame, Inc. cannot be considered as a nominee finalist during his or her first year on the board.

Nominations will remain in effect for three years after the date of nomination.
